Does this tool require me to share my Google password or disable 2FA?

No. You sign in on Google's own login screen in your browser, so you do not type your Google password into the app, and you do not need to turn off 2-step verification. After you approve access, the app stores an OAuth refresh token on your computer so the session can be renewed. You can revoke access at any time in your Google Account permissions.

What happens if my internet connection drops during a massive 100GB backup?

Prism uses an embedded SQLite ACID transaction checkpoint database (prism_gmail_checkpoint.db). If your connection drops or your computer restarts, simply relaunch the tool and click Resume. It verifies previously downloaded Message-IDs and continues downloading only the remaining emails.
