Why does Prism Yahoo Backup require a Yahoo App Password instead of my regular password?

Can I backup Yahoo emails directly into Microsoft Outlook PST format?

Yes. Prism exports directly to standalone Microsoft Outlook Unicode PST files compatible with Outlook 2003 through Outlook 2024 and Microsoft 365. The software runs locally on your workstation and does not require Microsoft Outlook to be installed.

What happens if my internet connection drops during a large Yahoo backup?

Prism features an ACID-compliant SQLite Checkpoint Resume Center. Every downloaded message is recorded locally in real time. If your network drops or your computer reboots, simply reopen Prism and click Resume. The engine continues from where it stopped.

Can I backup multiple Yahoo accounts at the same time?

Yes. Under the Accounts screen, switch to the CSV Batch Import tab. You can provide a list of Yahoo email addresses and corresponding App Passwords in a standard CSV file, and Prism will process each mailbox in unattended sequential order.

How does Prism prevent Outlook PST files from exceeding the 50GB size limit?

Prism includes an automated PST auto-splitter in Step 4. You can configure split thresholds at 2GB, 5GB, 10GB, 20GB, or 45GB. When output crosses the chosen threshold, the engine automatically closes the current volume and creates a sequential new file (e.g. Yahoo_part2.pst) without slicing email threads in half.

Does Prism export Yahoo emails to legal PDF documents with Bates stamping?

Yes. Selecting PDF as your export format produces ISO 19005-1 compliant PDF/A documents. You can configure custom sequential Bates numbering (e.g. YAHOO-LEGAL-001001), set page numbering, expose full RFC 822 MIME headers, and embed binary attachments directly inside the PDF.

Are email attachments and inline images preserved?

Yes. Prism preserves attachments, inline images, hyperlinks, formatting and folder hierarchies. Compare a sample in the free trial.
