How do I generate an Apple App-Specific Password?
  1. Log into appleid.apple.com with your Apple ID.
  2. Navigate to the 'Sign-In and Security' section.
  3. Click 'App-Specific Passwords' and select 'Generate an app-specific password'.
  4. Label it 'Prism iCloud Backup' and copy the 16-character password directly into Step 1 of the tool.
Does this tool support older @me.com and @mac.com email addresses?

Yes. Prism natively supports all Apple email domains: @icloud.com, @me.com, @mac.com, as well as custom iCloud email domains configured under iCloud+. Simply click the appropriate domain chip in Step 1.

Can I export my iCloud emails to Microsoft Outlook PST on a Windows PC?

Yes. Select Outlook PST as your target format in Step 4. Prism streams messages directly into a clean, standalone Unicode PST file compatible with Outlook 2024, 2021, 2019, 2016, and Microsoft 365. You do not need Microsoft Outlook installed on your computer.

Can I export iCloud Mail to native Apple Mail (EMLX) format on macOS?

How do I save iCloud emails as PDF with attachments for legal compliance?

Select PDF Document in Step 4. Prism converts each email into an ISO 19005-1 compliant PDF/A file, complete with sender headers, timestamps, customizable Bates numbering (e.g., CASE-00104), and original binary attachments embedded directly inside the document.

My 5GB iCloud storage is completely full. How do I free up space without losing emails?

Connect your account in Step 1, select your target format in Step 4 (like PST, MBOX, or PDF), and run a complete local backup. Once your emails and attachments are verified on your local hard drive, you can safely delete older messages from iCloud to reclaim your free 5GB quota.

What happens if my internet disconnects or my laptop sleeps during backup?

You won't lose progress. Prism includes an embedded SQLite ACID checkpoint database. If a session halts, reopen the application and click 'Resume'. The engine reads the checkpoint ledger and continues downloading from where it stopped without creating duplicates.
